Latest Doll

This little chap is finally finished. He is approx 20inches and really came out nice. I had to design his sweater and after one failed attempt this one fit him nicely. It took a little while to knit but once I figured out what I wanted to do it knit up very quickly. The wool is a nice DK that I think I got from Knit Picks. The scarf I crocheted from some wool I had in my stash.

Working on this new doll design

This girl is nearly finished. She is a  little taller(14") than my other art girls and I loved making her. She is all cotton(muslin) and stuffed with fairfield polyfill(love their product)
Face has been hand drawn with pencils, markers and acrylics. Dress is a shift style and as always in cotton. I needle felted her hair(fishermans wool) . My video on how to make bodies, needle felt hair and draw faces is posted on my you tube channel. Check it out.

More babies from my studio

I just finished  handmaking these dolls from 100% cotton muslin using fairfield polyfill to stuff( fairfield is made with pride in the USA and just a beautiful polyfill). I love cotton and really do not see myself using anything else to make their clothes.  As always I hand embroider the faces on my dolls.

Classy and sassy lazy days of summer dolls

Classy and sassy, these dolls are my lazy summer dolls :)

Hmmmm, some experimenting with this doll

I experimented with this face---I went through loads of old vintage magazines and when I went to embroider the face on this girl she sort of embroidered herself. My friends think there is a vintage pierrot in there someplace
